Summary: The role of Scrum Master focuses on leading agile delivery for a strategic transformation programme centered around the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics within a utilities client. The position requires a seasoned professional to facilitate agile practices, coach teams, and ensure successful deployment across various functions. The role is hybrid, requiring travel to the Bradford office 2-3 days per week, and is offered on an initial 6-month contract. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in driving value and efficiency through agile principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies across cross-functional Dynamics workstreams (eg Finance, CRM, Field Services)
- Coach delivery teams and business stakeholders on agile practices tailored to MS Dynamics environments
- Maintain visibility of progress through Dynamics-specific Scrum boards and reporting tools
- Collaborate with Product Owners and SMEs to refine Dynamics backlogs and prioritise sprint goals
- Shield teams from distractions and ensure alignment with programme milestones
- Use empirical data to forecast deliverables and optimise sprint velocity
- Drive continuous improvement across Dynamics configuration, testing, and deployment cycles
- Promote agile best practices across the wider transformation programme
- Identify opportunities for innovation in Dynamics delivery and integration
- Support the development of the Technology Blueprint and contribute to the annual Business Plan
- Partner with internal IT and external implementation partners to ensure seamless service delivery
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering enterprise software using Scrum or Kanban, ideally within MS Dynamics programmes
- Strong understanding of agile delivery in ERP/CRM implementations
- Skilled in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder engagement across business and technical domains
- Familiarity with Dynamics modules (Finance, Customer Service, Field Services, etc.) and their delivery lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with integration planning, data migration, and user acceptance testing in Dynamics contexts
- High integrity, customer focus, and a proactive mindset
- Knowledge of Agile techniques including user stories, CI/CD, automated testing, and planning poker
- Experience with Dynamics-specific reporting tools, burndown metrics, and sprint dashboards
