Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and deliver the design vision across all projects.
- Produce design work for documentaries, films, and television from pitch to final outcome.
- Support the development of pitches and client presentations.
- Engage in graphic design tasks including typography, layout, and image-making.
- Create motion design assets such as identities, editorial assets, and partnership assets.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite programs to deliver high-quality motion design work.
Key Skills:
- 1-3 years of industry experience in broadcast design or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Strong eye for detail and contemporary design sensibility.
- Knowledge of Flame and Cinema 4D is beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and work across various tasks.
- Positive and proactive attitude towards challenges.
- Good understanding of the creative industry and cultural awareness.

We at Blue Spill are looking for a talented and passionate Motion graphics designer/animator to join the team on contract in our Midlands based studio.
About Us
We design beautiful moving graphics, animation and visual effects that breathe life into abstract ideas for filmmakers, and clarify complex concepts for their audiences. We believe in design with context and have a passion for cinematic storytelling. We work regularly with projects based in London, LA and NYC, and can adapt our resources on a per project basis. Over recent years we’ve designed titles and in film motion sequences for multiple Sundance films, Academy Award shortlisted features, and BAFTA, Emmy, RTS and Grierson award winners. We’ve also worked with key UK and US broadcasters, including Netflix, Amazon, HBO, PBS, ESPN, A&E, BBC, Channel 4, Sky, ITV and Film 4.
The Role
This role will be responsible for implementing and delivering the design vision for Blue Spill across all our projects. You will be asked to deliver brilliant design work for a breadth of documentaries, films and television from pitch to final outcome.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will be a talented graphic and motion designer with a great eye for detail and understanding of contemporary graphic and motion design - With 1-3 years industry experience in a broadcast design or a similar design role.
