Summary: The Modern Slavery (MS) and Organised Immigration Crime (OIC) National Training Development Specialist role with Devon & Cornwall Police focuses on delivering training to enhance the UK's policing response to modern slavery and organised immigration crime. The position involves developing and providing training across various locations in the UK, collaborating with statutory agencies and NGOs to improve operational effectiveness. The role is hybrid, allowing for remote work and travel to training sites. It is a fixed-term position with a salary range starting at £36,630 and rising to £40,893 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training priorities set by the NPCC and Home Office related to safeguarding, policy, operational activity, and training.
- Review and supply training on a national level to assist police forces in identifying and training their staff.
- Work closely with statutory agencies and NGOs to improve police forces' partnerships in tackling OIC and MS.
- Develop and deliver various training courses to police officers, police staff, and NGOs across the UK.
- Travel to training locations and meetings, with travel expenses covered by the programme.
Key Skills:
- Experience in training development and delivery, particularly in policing or related fields.
- Strong understanding of modern slavery and organised immigration crime issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including statutory agencies and NGOs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
