Summary: The Modelling & Simulation Engineer role involves designing and developing complex weapon systems products on a 12-month contract basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Development, integration, and testing of models.
- Preparation and support of documentation ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Autonomous interaction with functional teams such as Guidance Navigation & Control, Software, Hardware-in-the-Loop, Systems Design, and Quality Assurance.
- Perform technical analyses and investigations into a range of issues and problems.
- Develop solutions individually or as part of a project team.
- Support team lead and members to meet project deadlines on time, on cost, and on quality.
Key Skills:
- Experience in simulation and modelling, preferably on aerospace projects.
- Proficiency in The MathWorks products, specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB, and Stateflow.
- Ability to produce computer simulations from mathematical specifications.
- Understanding of the modelling process and quality processes.
- Knowledge of coding standards.
- Experience with Rational Team Concert or similar configuration and management tools.
- Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirement management tools.
- Experience in autocode generation from Simulink.
- Proficiency in C, FORTRAN, or Ada.

Role: Modelling & Simulation Engineer
Pay: £75 per hour via umbrella
Location: Bristol
Contract: Monday- Friday, 37 Hours per week, 12 months Contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: SC Required to start, UK Eyes only project.
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the development, integration, testing of models as well as reviews and supporting documentation ensuring compliance with appropriate quality standards.
Within the scope of your defined tasks, you will interact autonomously with the other functional teams e.g. Guidance Navigation & Control, Software, Hardware-in-the-Loop, Systems Design and Quality Assurance.
You will perform technical analyses and investigations into a full range of issues and problems and prepare and develop solutions either individually or as a member of a project team.
Supporting your team lead and fellow team members to meet project deadline On Time, On Cost & On Quality.
Essential Skills: Simulation and Modelling - preferably on Aerospace projects.
The MathWorks products - specifically Simulink, Embedded MATLAB and Stateflow.
Ability to produce a computer simulation (/Simulink model) from a mathematical specification.
A good understanding of the modelling process and working within a quality process.
A good understanding of coding standards.
