Summary: As a Model Engineer for a luxury vehicle manufacturer, you will play a crucial role in the design and validation of new automotive projects. This position involves managing the development and delivery of design check and static validation properties, models, and rigs to support manufacturing. The role requires expertise in automotive reference models and proficiency in CAD software, specifically CATIA V5. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with an attractive hourly rate and a potential long-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Constructing show cars and demonstrator vehicles
- Managing design construction and delivery
- Managing external suppliers and projects
- Creating vehicle models using CAD Software Catia V5
- Demonstrating model and construction methods
Key Skills:
- Experience in design and construction of automotive reference models and properties
- Proficient with CATIA V5 and familiar with CAD PLM software (e.g., LCA or TeamCenter)
- Project management skills including development timing plans, Gantt charts, task prioritization, and risk identification
- Strong influencing skills and communication abilities
- Commitment to building positive relationships with other functions and suppliers

As a Model Engineer with a luxury vehicle manufacturer you will contribute to the whole vehicle design and functional validation of new projects, managing the development, construction, delivery and update of Design Check and Static Validation properties, models and rigs to support Manufacturing release. This challenging role requires experience in the design and construction of automotive reference models and properties.
What’s on offer: Attractive hourly rate (PAYE/inside IR35) 35 hour week, hybrid working - onsite (3 days per week) ASAP start, current end date:30/06/26 (potential to extend)
