Summary: The Mobile Technical Architect role involves leading the design, development, and integration of a mobile application for a financial institution. The position requires expertise in React Native and TypeScript, focusing on creating scalable and secure mobile solutions. The contract is for an initial duration of six months, with a daily rate of up to £660. The role is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture design and development of a cross-platform mobile app using React Native, TypeScript.
  • Integrate with backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot, Apollo GraphQL).
  • Integrate with external FinTech APIs (e.g., KYC, Payments, Open Banking).
  • Define mobile architecture standards, patterns, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Guide the team on security best practices (authentication, encryption, session management).
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UI/UX designers, and Backend teams to ensure cohesive delivery.
  • Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor developers.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the solution.
  • Contribute to DevOps practices (e.g., containerization, monitoring, cloud deployment).

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in mobile development, including React Native (3+ years) and TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, Modularization, etc.).
  • Strong hands-on expertise in React Native (iOS & Android deployment).
  • Experience with native modules and bridging between native code (Swift/Kotlin/Objective-C/Java) and React Native.
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and RESTful API design.
  • Proficiency in state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil.
  • Experience integrating with FinTech APIs and third-party services.
  • Solid knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, encryption standards, and secure mobile app practices.
  • Exposure to app analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools (Firebase, Sentry, Instabug).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) and API gateways. Preferably Azure.

Mobile Technical Architect, 6 months, London/Hybrid, £660/day (Inside IR35)

My client, a leading digital consultancy are currently working with a leading financial institute and are looking to bring on a Mobile Technical Architect on a 6 month initial contract.

They are seeking a skilled and hands-on Mobile Technical Architect ( React Native + TypeScript) to lead the design, development, and integration of a cutting-edge mobile application. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in React Native for cross-platform mobile development, Expo CLI, Java-based microservices, and secure integration with third-party FinTech platforms. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical strategy, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across the architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead architecture design and development of a cross-platform mobile app using React Native, Type script,

* Integrate with backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot, Apollo Graph QL)
