Summary: The Mobile Platform Engineer is responsible for designing and architecting a Deployment Platform focused on mobile applications, ensuring scalability, supportability, security, and performance. This role involves setting technology standards, conducting code reviews, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. The engineer will also maintain the deployment platform and provide guidance to other developers. A strong background in mobile application development and deployment is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design and architecture of the Deployment Platform focused on mobile applications.
- Set standards around the appropriate use of technologies, coding standards, and development tools.
- Develop and maintain the deployment platform based on requirements.
- Review industry and OS changes and provide impact assessments for maintenance releases.
- Provide guidance and direction to other developers and offer technical expertise.
- Conduct code reviews to enforce coding standards and maintain consistency across the team.
- Create and maintain documentation of architectural designs, decisions, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with product owners, service leads, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals.
Key Skills:
- 9+ years of experience in mobile application development and application deployment/release.
- Proficiency in the app signing process and tools for digitally signing apps.
- Experience with automating the application signing process as part of the CICD pipeline.
- Understanding of app store requirements and guidelines (Apple App Store and Google Play Store).
- Hands-on experience with CICD pipelines, tools, and methodologies.
- Experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, C#).
- Proficiency in CICD tools: Jenkins, Gitlab.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the design and architecture of the Deployment Platform which is currently focused primarily on mobile applications that are either deployed to a managed device program or to 3rd party deployment channels such as Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Will set standards around the appropriate use of technologies, coding standards, and development tools that achieve the following Deployment Platform goals:

Develops and maintains the deployment platform based on requirements.
Reviews industry and OS changes and provides an impact assessment to build out a maintenance release and continuous improvement roadmap.
Will provide guidance and direction to other developers and provide technical expertise.
Conducts code reviews to enforce coding standards to maintain consistency across the team.
Creates and maintains documentation of architectural designs, decisions, and technical specifications.
Collaborates with product owners, service leads, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals.
Qualifications
9+ years of experience in mobile application development and application deployment/release through various deployment channels.
Proficiency in the app signing process and tools needed to digitally sign an app to verify its authenticity. Experience with automating the application signing process as part of the CICD pipeline
Understands the specific requirements and guidelines of app stores like Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Hands on experience with CICD pipelines, tools, and methodologies
Experience with automation frameworks and scripting languages.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Python, Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript, C#)
