Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance for Mechanical Building Services Plant and Systems.
- Perform maintenance, fault finding, and repair of mechanical plant according to current standards.
- Maintain and monitor domestic hot and cold-water services with L8 awareness.
- Submit concise and accurate reports of work carried out and time spent on tasks.
- Manage site logbooks and record keeping for designated sites.
- Provide details for further recommended works for office personnel.
- Support the wider team with out-of-hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.
Key Skills:
- Completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential).
- City and Guilds Qualification in Heating and Ventilation OR Plumbing.
- Minimum of Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ‘A’ and ‘B’.
- BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability or HVAC certificates.
- Conversant with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPMs.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Valid UK driving licence.

Summary
Due to growth of local contracts, NG Bailey Facilities Services are recruiting a Mobile Mechanical Technician to support our contracts in the Birmingham Region covering Commercial and Educational properties providing PPM and reactive maintenance. The successful candidate will have a background in Mechanical maintenance with relevant and current qualifications. This is a mobile role, so a valid UK driving licence is essential, as a company van will be provided.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance relating primarily to Mechanical Building Services Plant and System’s in-line with agreed programmes / SLA's in order to meet Client and Statutory Compliance.
- Maintenance, fault finding and repair of a range of mechanical plant, working to current standards and the contract specification.
- Maintenance and monitoring of domestic hot and cold-water services - L8 awareness (domestic water systems).
- Submitting concise & accurate reports of work carried out & time spent on tasks.
- Ownership of site logbooks and record keeping for your designated sites.
- Providing details for further recommended works, including all the required information for office personnel to action.
- Support the wider team with out of hours tasks such as FCUs and emergency light testing.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

What we’re looking for :
A Mechanical Technician working to a high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service. You will hold current qualifications to include:
- Completed a recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship (Preferred not Essential)
- City and Guilds Qualification in Heating and Ventilation OR Plumbing
- A minimum of Mechanical City & Guilds, Part 1 and 2 or ‘A’ and ‘B’.
- BMS experience and Multi-skilling capability and or HVAC certificates, equivalent qualifications,
- Conversant with Mechanical Plant/Plumbing related Building Services PPM's
- Driving Licence
