Summary: Senior Mobile Developer (React Native) is urgently needed for a 6-month contract with a technology SME client in Edinburgh. The role requires extensive experience in developing secure, production-ready mobile applications and leading a collaborative team. The position is outside IR35, offering a competitive daily rate, with a requirement to work on-site one day a week. Candidates will play a crucial role in shaping engineering practices and influencing product direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of new mobile features using React Native and TypeScript
- Deliver production-ready apps with a strong focus on security and performance
- Oversee automated deployment pipelines and manage releases to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience as a Senior Mobile Developer using React Native
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Experience with Tamagui UI, React Navigation, Reanimated/Gesture Handler
- Knowledge of AsyncStorage, SQLite, Zustand/Redux
- Familiarity with Java/Kotlin & Swift/Objective-C
- Experience with Gradle, CocoaPods, GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of Jest, React Testing Library, Detox (end-to-end)
- Understanding of App Attest, Play Integrity API, secure coding best practices

The right candidate must have demonstrable experience as a Senior Mobile Developer using React Native and leading the development of secure, production-ready mobile application. You will be joining a small, collaborative team where your expertise will help shape engineering practices and directly influence product direction.
The roles is Outside IR34, paying up to £400 per day and candidates must be able to work 1 day onsite in Edinburgh every week.
