Summary: The Mining Systems Application Support Analyst will serve as the primary contact for application support within a Tier-One Mining organization, focusing on the implementation and maintenance of Autonomous Mining Systems technology. This role involves providing continuous support for deployment, updates, and maintenance while collaborating with colleagues on an 8/6 site roster. Candidates should possess a passion for technology and experience in front-line support for production systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to production incidents, restoring services, and managing customer communications.
- Providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT customer support.
- Supporting Fleet Management and other production-critical systems.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure continuous support for mining technology products.
- Facilitating post-mortem analyses of incidents.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience as a Linux system administrator managing production servers.
- Proficiency with automated configuration and deployment tools (Ansible preferred).
- Experience in log and infrastructure monitoring.
- Expertise in container management and orchestration (OpenShift, Docker Swarm) and virtual machines.
- Strong knowledge of Git-based version control systems and artifact repositories (Pulp preferred).
- Ability to explain complex IT issues to non-technical audiences and manage customer expectations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to self-research solutions.
