Summary: An experienced Migration Project Manager is sought for a 6-month contract role focused on a significant transformation in the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector. The position involves leading complex migration projects, ensuring they meet scope, timelines, and quality targets, while collaborating with geographically distributed teams. Strong leadership and technical migration expertise, particularly in Life & Pensions, are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver a portfolio of migration projects from initiation through to go-live.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans aligned with agreed timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with Migration SMEs and technical teams to scope, estimate, and deliver project outcomes.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Support operational readiness and facilitate smooth handover to business-as-usual teams.
- Promote continuous improvement and contribute to PM best practices across teams.
- Lead and coach geographically distributed project teams.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience managing technical data or asset migration projects.
- Proven leadership of virtual teams and delivery in complex stakeholder environments.
- Background in Life & Pensions or similar financial services sectors strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and general project reporting tools.
- Recognised project management qualifications (eg, PMP, PRINCE2).
- Technically hands-on with solid understanding of migration processes.
