Summary: The role of Middle Office Change – OTC Derivatives and Collateral SME involves supporting a leading financial institution in a transformation programme focused on liquidity, collateral, and OTC bilateral derivatives. The position requires diagnosing operational issues and implementing process improvements across investment operations and finance teams. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise to meet regulatory reporting and month-end acceleration milestones. This is a hybrid position based in London for a duration of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse complex financial and operational issues; identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Implement process and technology changes, including testing and sign-off
  • Co-ordinate delivery across multiple teams (Investment Operations, Finance, Systems)
  • Support key deadlines

Key Skills:

  • 5–10+ years' experience in banking, asset management, or life insurance
  • Strong background in liquidity management, collateral (OTC/repo), and OTC bilateral derivatives
  • Skilled in Excel/VBA for process automation and enhancement
  • Experience in delivering change projects, ideally with some system implementation exposure
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, regulated environments
  • Degree educated (required); qualifications in finance or project management (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Initial Margin, SIMM model, and derivative valuations
  • Familiarity with ISDA/CSA documentation and collateral terms negotiation

Are you a seasoned finance change professional with deep expertise in liquidity, collateral, and OTC bilateral derivatives? We’re looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a leading financial institution on a high-impact transformation programme.

The Opportunity: As the Liquidity, OTC Derivatives and Collateral Change SME, you’ll play a key role in diagnosing operational issues, implementing critical process improvements, and driving change across investment operations and finance teams. Your expertise will help deliver several major milestones, including regulatory reporting and month-end acceleration.
