Summary: The role is for a Mid Level JavaScript Developer on a 3-month contract with an education technology company in Manchester. The position involves building and enhancing digital learning platforms that support educational institutions across the UK. The developer will work on various projects, including feature development, system migration, and performance improvements. The role requires a strong background in JavaScript and TypeScript, along with experience in modern frameworks and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building new features for an online assessment and grading platform
  • Developing interactive course modules and real-time collaboration tools for students
  • Migrating legacy systems to a modern JavaScript/TypeScript stack
  • Improving platform performance, accessibility, and user experience for thousands of active users
  • Integrating the platform with third-party APIs and cloud services

I'm working with a well-established education technology company in Manchester that designs and builds digital learning platforms used by schools, universities, and training providers across the UK. Their platforms support thousands of students and educators, providing interactive tools for learning, assessment, and collaboration, and they are continually innovating to enhance accessibility, engagement, and performance.

These projects are set to start shortly. This is a chance to work on meaningful education technology projects that have real impact on learning outcomes nationwide.

Projects involved:

  • Building new features for an online assessment and grading platform

  • Developing interactive course modules and real-time collaboration tools for students
