Whitehall Resources require a Network Service Designer to work with a key client on an initial 3 month contract.


*Inside IR35.


*This role will be mainly remote with occasional visits to London.

The Role:
As an experienced IP Service Designer focused on data centre network fabrics and the security and design patterns for 4G and 5G core network services, you will partner with engineering to map the current networking designs into blueprints, evolve and create new blueprint designs to suit the Telco Cloud strategies, roadmaps, and capacity for core infrastructure on which our various businesses run. As part of the product management team in Telco Cloud you will help us to move towards a more product-focused approach. You will work with our technical and highly dynamic teams to drive an outsized impact on cloud engineering.
Telco Cloud is a set of internal product offerings enabled by several key products:
VMware, VIO, vSphere 7, vSAN, NSX-T, Tanzu TKG-M and vROPS
Ericsson SDI, CCI, CCE and CCD
Nokia CloudBand
Mavenir NFVi


What you will do:
* Develop network blueprints for Telco Cloud datacentre connectivity, VRF/VLAN/VXLAN/SDN usage for securing Mobile Core Services
* Create network blueprints for Telco Cloud Edge site connectivity
* Create network blueprints for Telco Cloud hosted Services
* Define longer-term networking scaling, optimisation and strategy across cloud infrastructure that influences Cloud-wide strategy
* Partner with our customers (other internal engineering teams), to better understand their problems and work together to deliver needed solutions
* Partner with other product managers and engineering teams to create cohesive strategies and roadmaps across organisational boundaries
* Foster an environment that is customer-focused, data-driven, and hypothesis/experimentation based
* Own the engagement with our internal Telco Cloud partners
* Help evolve the product management discipline and practices within Telco Cloud


You will bring:
* Demonstrable experience of service design, techniques and methodologies
* Experience in technology and telecoms
* Knowledge in mobile networking across mobile data core architecture (3G/4G/5G), LTE and IMS and IP networking and security
* Ability to manage, influence and persuade
* An effective communicator and presenter, with the ability to build relationships
* Demonstrate the ability and adaptability to identify and describe complex technical solutions and challenges to technical and non-technical stakeholders in terms suitable for the target audience
