Summary: The Microsoft Teams Room Support Engineer will support collaboration and video conferencing technologies for a utilities client on a 6-month contract, requiring regular travel to Wokingham and Warwick. The role focuses on managing meeting room migrations and ensuring the proper configuration of Microsoft Teams Room devices. This position is classified as inside IR35 and is based on-site. The engineer will work within a dynamic IT environment to enhance modern workplace solutions across a large enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a detailed schedule of meeting room migrations, including timelines and room-specific plans.
- Collaborate with the Organisational Change Management (OCM) team to support communication planning during meeting room downtime.
- Create and manage a mapping table linking old meeting room names to new ones, for use by both the Matrix and Microsoft 365 teams.
- Verify that the customer's new tenant has the correct number of Teams Room Pro licences assigned.
- Configure all Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) devices in the new tenant using AutoPilot, ensuring each room is set up correctly.
- Ensure M365 meeting room mailboxes have been migrated successfully and are fully operational post-migration.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience supporting and deploying Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) solutions in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Teams Room Pro licensing, and meeting room mailbox configuration and migration.
- Hands-on experience with device enrolment and configuration using tools such as AutoPilot and managing hardware hashes.
- Familiarity with tenant-to-tenant migrations, including user and meeting room identity transfers.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams such as Procurement, IDAM, Matrix, and OCM.
- Detail-oriented, with strong documentation skills - able to build migration schedules, mapping tables, and track licence and device status.
