Microsoft Purview Expert

Summary: The role of Microsoft Purview SME/Expert involves providing specialized expertise in Microsoft Purview, focusing on modules such as Unified Data Catalogue, Data Map, and Information Protection. The consultant will be responsible for classifying and tagging both structured and unstructured data, creating custom classifiers, and implementing data loss prevention policies. This position requires hands-on experience and will involve some travel to client sites within the UK. The engagement is for a duration of 3 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in Microsoft Purview modules including Unified Data Catalogue, Data Map, and Information Protection.
• Classify and tag structured data using Microsoft Purview.
• Register structured data sources and create custom classifiers.
• Create and schedule scans for structured data sources.
• Create sensitivity labels and custom sensitive information types (SITS) for unstructured data sources.
• Develop auto-labeling policies and publish labels.
• Implement data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.

Key Skills:

• Expertise in Microsoft Purview.
• Experience with Unified Data Catalogue, Data Map, and Information Protection modules.
• Hands-on experience in classifying and tagging structured and unstructured data.
• Ability to create custom classifiers and sensitivity labels.
