Summary: The role of a Power Platform Engineer focuses on creating scalable low-code solutions that enhance user experience and drive measurable impact through automation and collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage directly with business users to understand existing processes, pain points, and opportunities for automation.
- Design and deliver solutions using low-code/no-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, and Co-Pilot Studio.
- Build scalable, maintainable workflows that solve real user problems while maintaining a focus on usability and performance.
- Act as a coach and enabler for users looking to build or adapt their own workflows.
- Run training sessions, drop-ins, and documentation efforts to upskill colleagues.
- Build re-usable components, templates, and guidance that support ongoing low-code adoption across the business.
- Work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement through automation.
- Prototype ideas quickly to test value and gather feedback early.
- Ensure automation aligns with IT and security policies, including data protection, access management, and system integration protocols.
Key Skills:
- A background in technical delivery, including software or product development, process automation, and AI.
- 6+ months of experience building low-code/no-code solutions within a professional services or corporate environment.
- Experience working closely with non-technical stakeholders to translate needs into practical solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Co-Pilot Studio.
- Familiarity with at least one alternative automation tool (e.g., n8n, Make.com, Zapier).
- Understanding of APIs, webhooks, and data integration principles.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with multiple systems and data sources.
- Knowledge of software development and architecture.
- Experience with data analytics tools and techniques.
- Experience working in a data-driven development methodology focused on value metrics and iterative approaches.
