Summary: The Microsoft 365 & Power Platform Administrator role involves managing, optimizing, and securing the M365 ecosystem, including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. This position focuses on enhancing collaboration, automation, compliance, and governance within Microsoft’s productivity platforms. The administrator will also troubleshoot technical issues and guide users on best practices. The role is contract-based and operates within IR35 regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 services.
  • Apply updates/patches for security and performance, ensuring compliance with data loss prevention (DLP) and retention policies.
  • Optimize Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint for end-user productivity and security.
  • Provision/deprovision user accounts, licenses, and permissions across M365 environments.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate workflows while enforcing governance policies.
  • Monitor usage analytics and resolve performance issues to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Guide users on app development best practices (data modeling, workflow automation) within Power Platform.
  • Secure environments by configuring role-based access and auditing solutions.
  • Enforce security policies (e.g., conditional access, encryption) for M365 and Power Platform.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) across cloud services.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for M365 and Power Platform tools.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams on leveraging Microsoft 365’s collaboration and automation capabilities.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in administering Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Experience in license management, security configurations, and compliance tools.
  • Hands-on experience deploying Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate with focus on governance and scalability.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 plans and feature differentiation (e.g., DLP, retention policies).
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments, PowerShell scripting, and Azure AD integration.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
  • Microsoft 365 Certified (e.g., MS-900, MS-500) or Power Platform certifications preferred.
  • Experience with endpoint management (Intune) or cloud infrastructure (Azure) preferred.
