Summary: The Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer will lead and support complex migration projects, focusing on tenant-to-tenant migrations and transitions from legacy systems to Microsoft 365. This role demands hands-on expertise in Microsoft 365 services and migration tools, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Experience with Google Workspace migrations is also highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant, legacy system, and Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 migrations.
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as Quest and AvePoint Fly for migration execution and management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues in collaboration with Microsoft and third-party vendors.
- Administer and support core Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform.
- Design and implement end-to-end Google Workspace integration and migration to M365.
- Monitor system performance, health, and security before, during, and after migration.
- Automate migration and administrative tasks using PowerShell and SQL queries.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and service delivery teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, training, and user support.
- Implement and enforce governance and compliance policies (DLP, sensitivity labels, conditional access).
- Stay current with the Microsoft roadmap and migration best practices.
Key Skills:
- 4–8 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and migration within enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace administration and migration.
- Proven expertise in tenant-to-tenant migrations and hybrid configurations.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and SQL for automation and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
