Summary: We're seeking experienced Information Governance specialists to lead a large-scale M365 programme aimed at enhancing information governance and mitigating risks. The role focuses on applying governance principles rather than heavy technical delivery, specifically within SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Candidates should have a strong background in records management and be adept at shaping best practices in a digital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as the lead for information governance across M365 (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
- Designing retention and labelling strategies aligned to policy and legislation
- Applying records management principles into practical, real-world solutions
- Identifying risks, gaps and complex scenarios and putting the right controls in place
- Working with stakeholders to improve behaviours, adoption and governance maturity
- Supporting policy, guidance and assurance activities
Key Skills:
- Strong background in information and records management
- Experience working within public sector environments
- Proven experience designing lifecycle, retention and labelling strategies
- Good understanding of standards such as ISO 15489
- Ability to engage with both business and technical stakeholders
