Metallurgical Engineer Onsite Peterborough Inside IR35 Contract 3 – 5 years’ experience. Metallics experience preferably. Steel background, any corrosion fluids experience. E.G. search for Oxygen, chlorides, sulphides, water, metalworking fluids, liquid metals, in relation to metals engineering. There might also corrosion inhibitors mentioned. Must have worked within a materials lab. Metallurgists can come from a wide of industries, Automotive and Manufacturing, could be chemical background looking at corrosion fluids. Materials Science/Metallurgy degree and/or substantive practical working experience within a materials laboratory environment Metallurgical / materials evaluation of new products, processes and or systems Engaging communicator; Able to convey technical assessments and results to both technical and non-technical colleagues Providing technical guidance on product and process maintenance Ability to Identify metallurgical / materials manufacturing defects and make process improvement recommendations
