Summary: The role of a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse at Fylde and Wyre CAMHS involves providing face-to-face support to young people in a mental health setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Independently complete mental health assessments and support young people.
- Work to organisational thresholds and established systems, including care and hospital discharge planning.
- Adapt risk plans as needed and manage changing levels of risk.
- Provide triage/duty support for the team and prioritise caseloads.
- Support the team, work collaboratively, and contribute to service development.
- Work with young people presenting a variety of mental health and wellbeing needs.
- Signpost to appropriate services and make safeguarding referrals.
- Utilise experience in CAMHS and children’s child protection work.
Key Skills:
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC PIN.
- Band 6 experience in CAMHS or equivalent mental health setting.
- Proven skills in assessment, care planning, risk management, and safeguarding.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Face-to-face workers only (no remote work).
