Summary: The MEICA Site Manager role involves leading mechanical and electrical asset upgrades across water infrastructure sites in Kent and South East London. The position requires strong site management skills, with a focus on operational control, budget management, and health and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in multi-disciplinary electrical and mechanical systems and will oversee complex projects related to water control infrastructure. This is a mobile position based primarily in Snodland, Kent, with a potential for permanent employment after an initial 6-month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Leadership: Take operational responsibility for MEICA delivery, managing the day-to-day programme and coordinating multi-disciplinary subcontractors across various site locations.
- Asset Upgrades & Replacement: Oversee complex M&E packages including river locks, sluice gates, pumping systems, and specialized eel screen replacements.
- Technical & Design Compliance: Interrogate MEICA design drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and telemetry/control documents to ensure right-first-time delivery and seamless systems integration.
- Health & Safety Management: Enforce strict CDM 2015 and asset safety standards. Write, review, and sign off on RAMS, manage Permit to Work systems, and oversee safe working procedures near/over water and within confined spaces.
- Commercial & Progress Tracking: Track daily outputs against target budgets, manage variations, maintain accurate site diaries, and report progress directly to the Project Manager.
Key Skills:
- MEICA Management Experience: Proven track record as a Site Manager delivering both mechanical and electrical engineering packages within the water, river environment, or utilities sectors.
- Asset Knowledge: Deep understanding of water level control structures (sluice gates, lock mechanisms), pumping station components, and relevant asset standards.
- Qualifications: SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), Black or Gold CSCS Card (Managerial / Technical), EUSR National Water Hygiene card is highly desirable.
- Mobility: Full UK driving licence is mandatory, as this role involves traveling to various regional site locations in Kent and South East London.

Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced MEICA Site Manager to lead mechanical and electrical asset upgrades across a variety of water infrastructure sites. While the main hub site is based in Snodland, Kent, this mobile position will require you to manage critical packages throughout Kent and South East London.
