Summary: The role of MEICA Project Engineer involves supporting the delivery of MEICA works throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safe and compliant execution within multidisciplinary teams on a major water framework. The position requires a blend of office, remote, and site-based work, focusing on both design and construction phases. The engineer will manage MEICA packages, promote health and safety, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. This role is ideal for candidates with proven experience in MEICA project delivery and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote health, safety and wellbeing across all stages of design and delivery
  • Manage MEICA packages including design, installation and coordination activities
  • Support HAZOP, HAZCON and wider project delivery meetings as required
  • Work with engineering teams to develop construction sequences, programmes and budgets
  • Coordinate with design, pre-construction and delivery teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Ensure high-quality, right-first-time delivery standards are achieved
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site teams, supply chain and stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance and provide progress reporting, including mitigation planning where required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across delivery teams and framework partners
  • Ensure permits, records and installation checks are completed in line with contract requirements

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering MEICA packages across the full project lifecycle
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations and requirements relating to temporary works, lifting, commissioning and handover
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant engineering technical standards
  • Experience managing subcontractors and MEICA package delivery
  • Solution-focused approach with a strong continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced project environments
  • Water industry / AMP framework experience (desirable)
  • Experience working across multiple sites and teams (desirable)
  • Experience working with both design and construction teams (desirable)
  • Engineering or Project Management qualification
  • CSCS Card and Full UK Driving Licence

Our Client has a requirement for a MEICA Project Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington.

Role Purpose:

To support the delivery of MEICA works across the full project lifecycle from outline design through to commissioning and handover. The role will ensure safe, high-quality and compliant delivery of MEICA packages while working within multidisciplinary teams across a major water framework. The position involves a mix of office, remote and site-based working, supporting both design and construction phases.
