Summary: The Meetings and Events Project Manager will oversee global meetings and events for pharmaceutical clients, ensuring profitability and compliance while managing logistics and budgets. This role involves client and supplier management, as well as national and international travel. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Manchester, England, with a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will report to the Project Director and will be supported by a Project Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all venues and logistical arrangements for events, including congress attendance and housing blocks.
  • Coordinate congress sponsorship activities and liaise with client contracting teams.
  • Produce and circulate important communications, such as weekly status reports.
  • Conduct site inspections and planning meetings with suppliers.
  • Prepare and maintain event budgets and ensure financial tracking.
  • Deliver first-class customer service and attend client planning meetings.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with hotels, venues, and suppliers.
  • Assist new starters and comply with company and client procedures.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in event management for corporate events.
  • Strong client liaison and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage event budgets and conduct reconciliations.
  • Intermediate Excel skills for maintaining complex spreadsheets.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
