Summary: The Medical Information Associate role involves providing expert medical information services for stakeholders within a leading pharmaceutical company in Maidenhead. The position requires responding to medical queries, capturing feedback, and improving processes related to medical information. The role is hybrid, requiring three days on-site work per week, and is contracted for six months. The associate will also manage adverse event reports and contribute to departmental meetings and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of accurate, relevant, timely information to internal and external customers, in accordance with MHRA regulations, ABPI Code of Practice and PIPA guidelines.
  • Answering Medical Information enquiries via all intake channels (including, but not limited to, telephone line, mailbox, and Medical Information database) within office hours.
  • Administration of Medical Information enquiries, including documentation of enquiries, written responses to enquirers, and filing enquiry documentation.
  • Record and forward Adverse Event reports received as a result of a Medical Information enquiry via dedicated intake channels.
  • Record and forward Product Quality Complaints (PQCs) received as a result of a Medical Information enquiry.
  • Contribution to and maintenance of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents and other reference documents for company products.
  • Responsible for partnering with the Affiliate Medical and Global Teams to manage Medical Information systems and processes.
  • Monitoring and communication of Medical Information enquiry trends for management and internal teams.
  • Attendance and participation at Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information departmental meetings.
  • Contribution and/or completion of departmental Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
  • Provision of information on products, competitor activity, and disease areas to support business development opportunities.
  • Management of meetings as required.
  • Provision of operational support for the Medical Operations Function.
  • Provision of training and support to internal staff on related procedures and tools.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in a scientific discipline essential.

Job Description

SRG are looking for a medical information associate to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in Maidenhead. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing an expert medical information service for all stakeholders, in the delivery and responses to medical queries on company products. Systematically capturing feedback, exploring opportunities to drive efficiencies, and continually improving processes, systems, and solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provision of accurate, relevant, timely information to internal and external customers, in accordance with MHRA regulations, ABPI Code of Practice and PIPA guidelines.
  • Answering Medical Information enquiries via all intake channels (including, but not limited to, telephone line, mailbox, and Medical Information database) within office hours.
  • Administration of Medical Information enquiries, including, but not limited to documentation of enquiries, written responses to enquirers, filing enquiry documentation.
  • Record and forward Adverse Event reports received as a result of a Medical Information enquiry via the dedicated Medical Information intake channels, Individual Case Safety Report (ICSR) telephone lines or mailboxes and reporting to the designated Pharmacovigilance (PV) department.
  • Record and forward Product Quality Complaints (PQCs) received as a result of a Medical Information enquiry via the dedicated Medical Information intake channels.
  • Contribution to and maintenance of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents and other reference documents for company products.
  • Responsible for partnering with the Affiliate Medical and Global Teams, respectively, to manage Medical Information systems and processes, as required.
