Summary: Talentmark is seeking a Medical Director for a 9-month contract in the pharmaceutical industry, focusing on Phase 3 clinical development. The role involves supporting cross-functional teams, providing medical monitoring for clinical studies, and engaging with key stakeholders. Candidates must have an MD or MD/PhD and at least 5 years of clinical research experience. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with two days in the office located in Welwyn Garden City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support cross-functional teams to design and execute clinical development plans across all phases of drug development, focusing on Phase 3.
- Provide medical monitoring support for ongoing clinical studies.
- Closely interface with cross-functional colleagues representing clinical operations, safety, clinical pharmacology, biostatistics, regulatory, research, biomarkers, and others.
- Support external engagements with advisory boards, site investigators, health authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Key Skills:
- MD or MD/PhD with at least 5 years of experience in longitudinal clinical research.
- Experience in clinical trials in an industry or academic setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a matrix environment and influence others.
- Experience in clinical development, phase II and III, and neurodegeneration therapeutic area.

Salary: Paying between £95 - £115 per hour Ltd/Umbrella - outside IR35
Medical Director role:
- Support cross-functional teams to design and execute clinical development plans across all phases of drug development, but with a focus on Phase 3.
- Provide medical monitoring support for ongoing clinical studies.
- Closely interface with cross-functional colleagues representing clinical operations, safety, clinical pharmacology, biostatistics, regulatory, research, biomarkers, and others.
- Support external engagements with advisory boards, site investigators, health authorities, and other key stakeholders.
Your Background:
- You have an MD or MD/PhD with at least 5 years of experience in longitudinal clinical research, including experience in clinical trials (in an industry or academic setting).
- You are an excellent oral and written communicator.
- As a leader, you will work within a matrix environment where influencing and inspiring others to strive for excellence is expected.
- Experience in clinical development, phase II and III, and neurodegeneration therapeutic area.
