Summary: NHS Scotland is seeking applications from recently retired Consultants who have experience as Secondary Care Appraisers to fill temporary locum consultant posts in NHS Ayrshire and Arran. These positions aim to address the shortfall in appraiser capacity and involve conducting a specified number of appraisals over a 12-month period. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct 11 (0.5PA p/w) or 22 (1PA p/w) secondary care appraisals within a 12-month period.

- Engage with NHS Ayrshire and Arran to support appraiser capacity.
- Participate in interviews as required.

The expectation would be for you to carry out 11 (0.5PA p/w) or 22 (1PA p/w) secondary care appraisals within the 12-month period from appointment, to be carried out flexibly in time and place to fit with your appraisee’s requirements.
