Summary: The Media Technician role at IMG involves supporting premium productions for high-end luxury brand clients by exporting working edits and EDLs, preparing edits for transition from Offline to Online, and performing quality checks on media. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Producers in exporting WIP edits, EDLs and metadata.
- Maintain the LucidLink file space in line with client guidelines.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Perform QC and media integrity checks.
- Provide handover to production partner Editors in London.
- Actively monitor production calendars for project readiness.
- Facilitate uploads, downloads and archive retrievals from Cloud storage.
- Liaise with Governing Bodies and event productions for quality sources.
- Attribute appropriate metadata to digital files and log paperwork.
- Train other staff to perform duties as needed.
- Support production teams with file transfers and asset management.
- Contribute to ongoing refinement of media workflows and documentation.
- Manage/maintain housekeeping of Nearline storage and Cloud Library.
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a TV production environment or post-production facility.
- Experience using Adobe Premier Pro and understanding of Offline to Online production workflow.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Baselight.
- Experience with data-management and digital workflows.
- Desire to improve management systems and processes.
- Genuine interest in problem solving and improving workflow efficiency.
- Knowledge of Iconik, Media Encoding and file transfer platforms.
- Intermediate editing skills (Adobe Premiere/Adobe Media Encoder).

IMG are looking for a talented Media Technician to join our Branded Content team on a fixed-term contract, supporting premium productions for one of our high-end luxury brand clients. You will be responsible for exporting working edits and EDLs and will prepare edits for the transition from Offline to Online, performing QCs and integrity checks on media ahead of VFX/Grade. We are looking for a positive, proactive and self-sufficient worker, who is adept at communicating and maintaining relationships with production teams, and works in a professional manner to uphold an exemplary reputation with the client. Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Assist the Producers in exporting WIP edits, EDLs and metadata to translate the edit content into working, multi-team documents.
- Maintain the LucidLink file space in line with client guidelines so projects and footage are readily available to all Editors and clearly labelled.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Perform QC and media integrity checks.
- State any inherent media issues and flag any footage properties that could be problematic when it comes to VFX/Grade.
- Provide handover to production partner Editors in London, and remotely edit assist to ensure edits transition smoothly from Offline into VFX and Grading.
- Work as technical edit support for Editors in London/remotely.
- Assist production teams and research team in sourcing material for edits, clip-up larger files and deliver to production partners.
- Actively monitor production calendars to ensure all projects are prepped and ready for handover in good time.
- Facilitate day-to-day uploads, downloads and archive retrievals from Cloud storage.
- Liaise with Governing Bodies and event productions to ensure the highest-quality sources are consistent from capture at the event to delivery to edit.
- Attribute appropriate metadata to digital files and log paperwork to the archive.
- Train other staff to be able to perform your duties should additional support be required.
- Support production teams with file transfers, asset management and project back-ups.
- Contribute to ongoing refinement of media workflows and documentation.
- Manage/maintain housekeeping of Nearline storage, LucidLink filespace and Cloud Library.
Knowledge And Experience
- Previous experience of working in a TV production environment or a post-production facility.
- Experience using Adobe Premier Pro in a production environment, and an understanding of Offline to Online production workflow.
- Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Baselight.
- Experience working with data-management, data-synchronization and digital workflows.
- Desire to improve management systems and processes.

Work Conditions
This is a full-time fixed-term contract role until 31st January 2027. The role will be based at our office in Stockley Park, with occasional requirement to work at our Chiswick Park office. May be required to work occasional weekends.
