The business provides a wide range of bespoke and technical mechanical tests for customers across the automotive, aerospace, medical and many other sectors.Due to expansion and investment the business is growing their team at their purpose built testing facility in Northamptonshire the company are looking for a Mechanical Test Engineer with immediate effect, your role will be to ensure that the tests run smoothly and successfully and are recorded with high levels of accuracy and to correct standards.The RoleThe Test Engineer will spend the first 2-4 months initially shadowing other Test Engineers across the AM, Day or PM shift before moving onto running the Night shift for the lab.The Site Has One Of Europe s Largest Test Chambers For The Testing Of EV Batteries With Range Of Tests IncludingClimaticVibrations testsSalt corrosionShock TestingThe Test Engineer WillReceive Kick-Off for testing project from Project manager / Lab supervisor.Design instrumentation required and control strategy for each test taking placeReport testing project status to the Project Manager / Lab supervisor.Carry out tests set ups and test execution. (Test technician for support available)Creation of test project reports.
