Summary: This role is for a Mechanical Technician focused on performing mechanical maintenance and support functions for offshore operations during a two-week adhoc assignment in the North Sea. The position involves conducting both scheduled and unplanned maintenance to ensure the reliability and performance of mechanical systems. The technician will also prepare technical reports and collaborate with a multi-discipline team to achieve operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine, corrective, breakdown, and condition-based maintenance according to planned maintenance systems, work packs, and job card instructions.
  • Assist in coordinating spare part requirements and optimizing spares stock levels.
  • Complete removal, disassembly, overhaul, reassembly, replacement, testing, and commissioning activities on mechanical systems.
  • Perform unplanned maintenance tasks as required to minimize downtime and support production goals.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation in relation to mechanical activities.
  • Conduct fault finding and rectification for mechanical equipment.
  • Carry out mechanical isolations and ensure safe working practices at all times.
  • Undertake relevant risk assessments to ensure work scopes are completed safely and in a controlled manner.
  • Request and manage permits to work (PTW) for safe task execution.
  • Collaborate with other trades and disciplines as part of a multi-discipline team, where appropriate.

Key Skills:

  • Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme.
  • Certification in BOSIET, MIST, and OGUK Medical.
  • Certification in MJI10 and MJI19.
  • Ability to execute mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting to a high standard.
  • Competency in collaborative working and multidisciplinary environments.
  • Strong commitment to safety procedures and risk assessment protocols.

Qualifications & Experience
