The Role
Our client seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Design Engineer for a long-term contract based in Bedford.
Working within an innovative aerospace R&D environment, you will focus on the design and structural integrity of next-generation aerial platforms.
You will be heavily involved in aerostructural design, taking concepts through to rapid prototyping and integration.
Key Skills & Experience
- 7+ Years Experience: Proven track record in mechanical systems or aerospace design.
- CAD Proficiency: SolidWorks is highly preferred, but we are open to experts in CATIA, Creo, Inventor, or NX.
- Aerostructures: Deep understanding of wing and fuselage design and integration.
- Advanced Manufacturing: Extensive experience with 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and composite materials.
- Engineering Fundamentals: Strong ability to conduct first-principles hand calculations to validate early design concepts.
