Summary: The Mechanical Supervisor role is with a leading M&E contractor in the UK, focusing on a commercial refurbishment project in Central London. The position involves managing subcontractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, and liaising with clients throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in mechanical services and experience in the commercial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of sub-contractors and labour
- Client liaison and attend site meetings
- Progress Reporting
- Responsible for all health & safety at site level including the preparation and issuing of RAMS & tool box talks where appropriate
- Weekly H&S Returns
- Project & programme implementation
- Understanding of design & drawings
- Continuous snagging to minimise defects & errors
- Work with the Project Manager to manage the commissioning process and handover of the project
Key Skills:
- Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of mechanical services
- Experience working in the commercial sector (shell & core)
- SSSTS/SMSTS Qualified

Typically they specialise in major shell and core projects in sectors such as; commercial offices, healthcare, pharmaceutical and education. Despite their size, this Tier 1 M&E Contractor has fantastic staff retention rates with a reputation for looking after their staff. They offer excellent exposure and internal training schemes with a hands-on approach to developing their staff.
Role: Mechanical Supervisor – Central London – £280 - £320 per day
The project is a commercial refurbishment of a 1980's building circa £20m+ MEP. Works will include shell & core to Cat A. Programme length 1 year+.
