Summary: The Mechanical Site Supervisor will manage daily operations on a high-spec commercial fit-out project near Salisbury, overseeing a team of Mechanical Fitters. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and adherence to project timelines while coordinating with project managers and subcontractors. The supervisor will also be responsible for the installation of mechanical systems and ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise mechanical teams on-site, ensuring compliance with health & safety protocols and project specifications.
- Coordinate daily workloads and monitor progress against programme timelines.
- Liaise with project managers and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee the installation of mechanical systems within catering blocks, commercial kitchens, and WC facilities.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all RAMS and site documentation are in order.
- Manage site materials, deliveries, and equipment checks.
Key Skills:
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) – Required
- Valid Mechanical Skill Card (e.g., JIB-PMES, CSCS Mechanical Installer/Plumber)
- Proven track record supervising mechanical fit-out teams on commercial projects.
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- Own PPE and basic tools.
- Must live within a commutable distance to Salisbury – no digs provided.
