Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the design, coordination, and installation of complex sprinkler systems that meet strict fire protection standards in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinating design integration with BIM teams, engineers, and general contractors on the project.
  • Identify and address potential risks or issues early, seeking commercial advice when needed.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, resolving field issues, and maintaining QA/QC standards.
  • Lead and support installation teams, engineers, and technicians.
  • Promote Health & Safety at all times, ensuring risks are identified and mitigation measures are put in place.
  • Ensure all installation work is completed on time and to the relevant British Standards.

Key Skills:

  • HNC/HND Building Services qualification or above - Desirable.
  • CSCS Managerial Card.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS.
  • Ability to take on large and complex packages of work at a management level.
  • Proven expertise of working with and installing sprinkler systems, with a strong knowledge of current construction practices and safety on site.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Here at 1st Step Solutions, we are supporting a well-established leading M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Mechanical Senior Project Manager and a Mechanical Project Engineer, both specialising in Sprinkler work, to join their developing team on a project in Bridgwater. This is a high-profile project requiring strong acumen, precision, and proactive leadership to oversee the full life-cycle of the sprinkler system on Phase 1 of a £4 Billion project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidates will be responsible for performing tasks and duties based on the needs of the project, including, but not limited to the following:
