Summary: The Mechanical QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical installations at the Shotton Paper Mill Project. This role involves conducting inspections, monitoring installation processes, and collaborating with project engineers to resolve quality-related issues. The position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and QA/QC standards, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards throughout construction and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical installations and machinery to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Monitor and document the installation process, ensuring adherence to quality plans and procedures
- Identify and report non-conformities, recommending and following up on corrective actions
- Collaborate with project engineers and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all quality control activities
- Assist in the development and implementation of QA/QC procedures and best practices
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical QA/QC Inspector, specifically in machinery installation
- In-depth knowledge of QA/QC standards, codes, and regulations
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with inspection tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in QA/QC or related fields (advantageous)
- Valid equivalent CSCS card
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:30
