Summary: The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the mechanical package for a £30m hospital extension project in South West London, ensuring successful project completion while managing interactions with construction professionals and clients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Chair regular meetings and communicate updates with clients.
  • Evaluate and approve MEP drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee procurement processes for MEP materials and equipment.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Supervise project timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor project budgets and adjust resources accordingly.
  • Maintain relationships with MEP subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and subcontractors to address concerns.
  • Prepare cost estimates for MEPH systems.
  • Assist in the handover of completed MEP systems to clients.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve challenges during planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Oversee health and safety protocols on the construction site.
  • Implement quality control measures for MEPH systems.
  • Provide training and guidance on MEPH technologies and safety practices.

Key Skills:

  • Professional qualifications: CSCS Card, SMSTS.
  • Strong history as a Mechanical Manager on new build healthcare projects over £10m.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing MEP teams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Negotiation skills and quality assurance abilities.
  • Budgeting and cost control expertise.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Effective time management and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
