Summary: The Mechanical Project Manager role involves overseeing complex mechanical installations and refurbishment works in a commercial environment, particularly on high-value projects exceeding £15 million. The position requires strong technical knowledge and experience in managing projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining client relationships. The successful candidate will be based in Central London and will be expected to work full-time on-site. This is a permanent position with an immediate start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full delivery of complex mechanical installations and refurbishment works, including ducting, pipework and plant systems within a commercial environment.
- Develop, monitor and maintain weekly and monthly progress reports, track project milestones and oversee the overall programme to ensure timely completion.
- Ensure technical excellence on site by providing guidance to mechanical operatives, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors, demonstrating confidence in a client-facing capacity.
- Maintain strict compliance with all on-site Health and Safety regulations and industry standards.

- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and installation methodology.
- Previous experience as a mechanical engineer, pipe fitter or plumber before stepping up to management.
- Able to work full time on site in southwest and travel occasionally if required.
- Confident communicator with the ability to represent the company to clients and stakeholders.
- Previous experience working in high end commercial projects over the value of £15 million.
