Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the mechanical installation for a new-build care home, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and the main contractor
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract services
  • Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Lead site meetings and technical reviews
  • Support commissioning and final handover process
  • Maintain strong client relationships and uphold company reputation on site

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on new build projects (care home or healthcare preferred)
  • Strong understanding of building services and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (desirable)
  • Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent)

You’ll take ownership of the mechanical elements from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and public health services within a live site environment.
