Summary: The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the mechanical delivery of a new-build care home project for a reputable M&E contractor. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the mechanical installation for a new-build care home, including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and the main contractor
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract services
- Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Lead site meetings and technical reviews
- Support commissioning and final handover process
- Maintain strong client relationships and uphold company reputation on site
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on new build projects (care home or healthcare preferred)
- Strong understanding of building services and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (desirable)
- Relevant mechanical or building services qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent)
