Summary: The Mechanical Planner & Execution Lead is responsible for managing maintenance planning and execution activities on-site in Fife. This role involves developing detailed job plans, coordinating resources, and ensuring effective management of materials for maintenance tasks. The position requires a strong focus on safety and efficiency in executing maintenance activities while adhering to industry standards. This is a full-time, temporary contract position requiring DBS checks and drug & alcohol tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of all notifications within the area of responsibility.
- Field scoping of reported defects for planning maintenance repairs.
- Development of detailed job plans and labour estimates for maintenance activities.
- Management of materials required for planned maintenance, including BoM generation.
- Coordination with onsite and offsite resources, including third-party suppliers.
- Development of job packages with clear details for execution teams.
- Providing detailed cost estimates for planned maintenance activities.
- Ensuring all maintenance work orders are ready prior to scheduling.
Key Skills:
- Trade experience in piping or mechanical fields.
- Field scoping experience.
- Knowledge of industry piping standards and materials.
- Execution experience in maintenance planning.
- Understanding of standard flange make-up procedures.
- General understanding of field piping arrangements and quality processes.
- 2-3 years' experience in planning within a source system.
- Understanding of localised GRS 6DE processes and contracting strategies.
- Ability to work with site scheduling to ensure resource alignment.
