Key Skills:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in a Mechanical/Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 2 years Mechanical Rolling Stock Modifications experience

Job Title: Mechanical Modifications Technicians

Location: East Yorkshire

Hourly Pay Rate: £20.09 Paye / £27.00 Umbrella

Shifts: Minimum of 40 hours a week, potentially rising to 45 hours after 12 weeks

Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 06:30 - 14:30 / 14:30 - 22:30 rotating weekly

Duration: On-going contract

Start Date: January 2026

Position Summary:

Working at a modern Rolling Stock production facility you who will initially be engaged for the implementation of a suite of modifications for the new London Underground Stock.

You will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out mechanical and interior pre-sale modifications including underframe work
  • Recording work via internal IT systems
  • Carry out inspections and checks to ensure fleet reliability
  • Identify improvements and feedback into team leader
  • Advise and rectify any defects that are found

Qualifications / Education required:

  • Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in a Mechanical/Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years Mechanical Rolling Stock Modifications experience
