Summary: The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role based in York involves providing support for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities at a small manufacturing site. The position requires working Monday to Friday with on-call duties every three weeks. The ideal candidate will have experience with various machinery and equipment essential for efficient site operations. Immediate start is available for a duration of 2 months or more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
- Support the efficient operation of the manufacturing site.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machinery including motors, sprockets, coolers, press machines, steamers, mixers, conveyor systems, grinders, and pneumatic sliders.
Key Skills:
- Experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of various machinery and equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Salary (Rate): £35/hour

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small manufacturing site in York to help with PPM and reactive Maintenance activities on site. You will be part of a very small team, assisting with all activities that help the site run as efficiently as possible.
Engineers will ideally have experience maintaining the following machinery and equipment:
- Motors
- Sprockets
- coolers
- Press machines
- Steamers
- Mixers
- Conveyor Systems
- Grinders
- Pneumatic sliders
