Summary: An excellent opportunity exists for a Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer to join a Global Engineering Automation business on an 11-12 month contract. The role involves supporting site maintenance and repairs within a team environment, focusing on automation systems and mechanical equipment. Candidates should have relevant experience in FMCG, automation, manufacturing, or production environments. The position is classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support site maintenance and repairs within a site-based team environment.
  • Complete all servicing on a variety of automation equipment.
  • Perform all repairs and diagnosis of mechanical faults.
  • Work on conveyor systems, chains, and gears.
  • Handle lifting equipment and work at heights.
  • React positively to any faults.
  • Replace electrical motors.
  • Maintain health and safety awareness.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in FMCG, automation, manufacturing, or production environments.
  • NVQ 3 or apprenticeship-trained, or Mechanical, or ONC, HND.

Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer

The right Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer will support site maintenance and repairs within a site-based team environment, utilising a purpose-built automation system.

  • Complete all servicing on a variety of automation equipment
  • Complete all repairs
  • Diagnosis of Mechanical faults and repairs
  • Must have experience working on Conveyor systems, Chains, and Gears
  • Must have experience working on Lifting Equipment/Working at Heights
  • Positively react to any faults
  • Replacement of Electrical Motors
  • H&S Aware

The successful Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineer must have experience working in an FMCG, automation, manufacturing, or production environment.
