Summary: The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is a one-year fixed-term contract based in Cwmbran, focusing on mechanical maintenance within a heavy manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on mechanical maintenance on a wide range of production and process machinery.
- Carry out reactive breakdown maintenance and work on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Participate in mechanical improvement projects and continuous improvement (CI) activities.
- Assist in the guidance and mentoring of mechanical apprentices on site.
- Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for mechanical maintenance on a wide range of production and process machinery. Working to strict H&S guidelines, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance. You will also have involvement in mechanical improvement projects and CI activities. You will work within a large state of the art manufacturing facility which has a wide range of heavy production machinery. The facility also has a wide range of manufacturing processes, the successful engineer will benefit from a varied role.
