Summary: The Mechanical Fitter and Boiler Engineer role involves performing maintenance and repair tasks on facility systems, including boilers and HVAC equipment, within a temporary contract based in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on facility systems, including boilers, pumps, and HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct fitting and installation work on plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Support general facilities upkeep, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Inspect, test, and maintain site utilities, including water, compressed air, and heating systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to address cross-functional maintenance needs.
- Undertake welding and fabrication tasks as needed to support installations and repairs.
Key Skills:
- BOAS or recognised Boiler Qualification
- A recognized Mechanical Qualification is essential.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical fitting in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with boiler operation and pump maintenance is highly desirable.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
