Summary: Cadillac Formula 1™ is seeking a Mechanical Designer to contribute to the development of mechanical components and assemblies for their new team in the 2026 FIA Formula One™ World Championship. The role emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and ownership of projects within a high-performance culture. Candidates will be expected to support the design group and mentor Graduate Mechanical Designers while ensuring adherence to quality and performance targets. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop layouts and schemes for mechanical assemblies and parts.
• Take ownership of projects, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Lead Mechanical Designer.
• Provide complete information for production processes, including materials, techniques, and quality requirements.
• Support the design group to meet overall performance and delivery targets.
• Guide and support Graduate Mechanical Designers to ensure best design practices are achieved.

Key Skills:

• A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or similar.
• Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the motorsport industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software, preferably CATIA 3DX.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, materials, and analysis.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize in a time-pressured environment and manage personal deadlines.
• Self-motivated, innovative, and comfortable working independently.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Contribute positively to an open and inclusive culture.
