Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Produce manufacturing, assembly, and inspection drawings, including GD&T.
- Lead mechanical packaging and layout activities.
- Drive Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), particularly for rotating components.
- Support prototype builds, testing, root-cause investigations, and design iteration.
- Conduct design reviews and contribute to engineering best practice.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers.
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Strong mechanical design experience with complex products and assemblies.
- Highly proficient in SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering documentation.
- Experience applying DFMA principles to real-world products.
- Comfortable working hands-on with prototypes and testing activities.
- A collaborative problem solver with the confidence to lead technical workstreams.

- High-speed motor-generator units (MGUs)
- Electric motors and e-machines
- Turbochargers and e-compressors
- Precision rotating equipment
- High-performance mechanical products
- Jet Engine Turbine related technology
- Experience with shafts, bearings, rotors, housings, balancing, precision assemblies, and reliability-focused design would be highly advantageous.
