Summary: Join Joloda Hydraroll as a Mechanical Design Engineer, contributing to the development of innovative loading systems for global logistics. Key Responsibilities:
- Create 2D and 3D mechanical designs and drawings.
- Generate costings, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Support project lifecycle from concept to delivery.
- Conduct Design Risk Assessments and ensure ISO compliance.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Participate in testing, R&D, and factory data maintenance.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Experience with DriveWorks or similar automation tools is advantageous.

Your role in our team
As a Design Engineer, you’ll lead the technical development of bespoke and standard loading systems - from concept through to implementation. This is a hands-on design role with the opportunity to work on technically complex projects for major clients, both in the UK and globally. You’ll use SolidWorks and AutoCAD (with DriveWorks if experienced) to deliver complete mechanical design solutions. You’ll also support project engineering, quoting, risk assessments, testing, and the creation of technical manuals. You’ll liaise closely with Production, Sales, and the wider Engineering team, helping to turn concepts into fully operational systems.
