Summary: We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development and cost optimization of a new premium electro-mechanical product platform. This role offers the chance to engage in technically challenging work within a dynamic engineering environment. The position is a 3-month contract and is classified as outside IR35. The working arrangement is hybrid, allowing for a blend of on-site and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop mechanical design solutions
- Support design reviews and present concepts
- Produce engineering documentation
- Complete DFMEA activities
- Improve manufacturability and assembly
- Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts
Key Skills:
- Mechanical/electro-mechanical design experience
- Proficient in Creo and in Windchill
- Sheet metal and fabrication knowledge
- Experience with motors, gearing, and mechanisms
- Understanding of DFMEA and DFM/DFA
