  • Assist with aircraft cleaning and maintain clean working areas.
  • Service aircraft toilets.
  • Contain fuel and oil spillages.
  • Assist with aircraft manoeuvring.
  • Ensure waste separation and recycling compliance.
  • Report safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, serviceable condition.
  • Support offsite requirements (e.g., AOG, Line) when requested.
  • Maintain awareness of all Read & Sign notices.
  • Understand individual operational safety and security responsibilities.
  • Follow Health & Safety Manual requirements.
  • Comply with aviation safety responsibilities under the AMUK Safety Policy.
  • Adhere to aviation security responsibilities under the Airbus Security Policy.

Key Skills:

  • Aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3) or aircraft-related academic qualification/traineeship with minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Completed Competency Assessment to a satisfactory level.
  • Able to work effectively in a team or unsupervised.
  • Good communication and strong awareness of Aviation safety.
  • Able to operate a powerset (GPU).
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance and hold a full UK passport.

Morson Edge are looking for an Aircraft Mechanic to support Line maintenance activities on the A400M fleet. This role is based at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton (OX18 3LX) and runs until the end of 2025 with potential extension. £40.00 per hour (Umbrella) Shift pattern: 5x5x4 Working hours: 06:00–18:00 Location: RAF Brize Norton, Carterton

Role Purpose

Supporting Line maintenance on the A400M, carrying out scheduled, unscheduled and out-of-phase maintenance in accordance with Technical Documentation and Company Procedures. Occasional support to bay environments may also be required.
